Blue-Green Algae Rampant

There have been many reports of dangerous algae in the waters of ponds and lakes along the front range. Apparently in some cases this can be very dangerous, even to the extent that some dogs have become sick and/or died after swimming in the tainted waters.

Apparently when blue-green algae blooms it releases toxins called cyano-toxins. These are very dangerous to both humans and animals, so reconsider water sports, fishing, etc this season. It seems to be troubling water all over the front range.
