Top 5 Activities Boulder, Colorado

The People's Republic of Boulder, so they call it, and how right! The city's numerous biking and hiking trails, breathtaking scenery, and infectious vibe draw adventurous tourists from far and near.

Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is undoubtedly a place to visit. But where do you start from?

Here are the top 5 activities in Boulder, Colorado!

#1. Go Hiking

The city of Boulder isn't recognized as the fittest city in the US for nothing. With more than 155  miles of trails scattered around the city, you can't help but catch the hiking fever!

You can hike the famous 4-mile Royal Arch Trail, and at 1492 feet, awe at the beautiful scenery below. Faint-hearted and want an easy hike? The Flatirons Loop Trail is for you.

Want a desert-like hiking experience? The Mount Sanitas Trail is where you want to hike. A short hike, Mount Sanitas offers mesmerizing views of the Flatirons and downtown Boulders.

The city has around 245 days of sunshine. So you can hit the trail on any typical day. Sling on your hiking gear and get going!

#2. Relax & Dine in Pearl Street Mall

A tour of Boulder is incomplete without visiting the iconic Pearl Street Mall. Paved with bricks, Pearl Street Mall offers a lot of attractions to see and activities to do.

You can stroll and shop in the storefronts and boutiques. Fancy a meal? Dine, sip coffee, and relax in the numerous restaurants with patios.

You can also take a stroll across the street and watch vibrant street displays.

#3. Visit Chautauqua Park

An extension of Boulder Mountain Park, Chautauqua is one of the most breathtaking spots in Boulder. If you want a breath of fresh air after visiting Pearl Street Mall, this historic landmark founded in the 1800s is the perfect place.

You can relax and picnic in its leafy gardens. The park's tennis court, playground, lodging, and other facilities will also blow you away. And If you're lucky, you can catch many of the music festivals, concerts, and lectures it hosts.

#4. Tour the Museum of Boulder

Enough of biking, hiking, and outdoor activities! If you think Boulder's beauty ends at trails, parks, and brick roads, head over to the Museum of Boulder to take a foray into the city's history.

In this museum, you'd see artifacts and photos that show you how the city came to be the bustling tourist attraction it is. The Boulder History Museum, as the Museum of Boulder was known, also hosts exhibitions and art shows you don't want to miss.

#5. Visit The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

When you're in the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, you might be forgiven if you think you've somehow teleported yourself to Tajikistan. Hand-built in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and shipped piece-by-piece to Boulder, this teahouse is peaceful and perfect for a cup of tea, especially in winter. You can also order a meal while taking in its beautiful Persian architecture.
