The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) approved over $20 million to fix the collapsed portion of the Boulder Turnpike (Hwy 36) recently.
There's about 300 feet of roadway.
Granite Construction, along with Ames Construction built this portion of road about 5 years ago as a part of firing up commuter lanes.
Kraemer North America was chosen to do the rebuild work.
While Granite Construction said it would cooperate with CDOT's work to investigate what caused the collapse, apparently Ames Construction has so far declined to comment.
