Dog Joins Boulder Justice Center Staff

A two year old Labrador-Retriever mix dog named Buck is joining the current Boulder County courthouse dog, Amigo as a fellow four-legged co-worker.

Amigo was the first dog on the job back in 2013 when Stan Garnett was the Boulder District Attorney. The purpose of Amigo, and now Buck, is to comfort witnesses and crime victims.

The director of Diversion and Restorative Justice at the Boulder District Attorney's office, Elaina Shively, said that their group were able to arrange through Canine Companions for Independence to get Buck at no charge.
