BVSD Wants To Add Modular Home Factory To Benefit Habitat For Humanity

Boulder Valley School District has plans to seek having the City of Boulder annex about 50 acres at 6500 Arapahoe Road, including part of its Education Center and to add a modular home factory for students.

The goal is for students to broaden their experience in modular home building while benefiting Habitat For Humanity.

Boulder valley would be on the hook for about $2 million to the City of Boulder for city stormwater investments.

The initial recipient would be the residents of the Ponderosa Mobile Home Park.

Apparently some residents have complained about noise levels, increased traffic and impacts to the Sombrero Marsh open space.
