Boulder County Property Valuations Way Up

Many people have commented that Boulder County has valued their property higher than market value. Every two years the county sends out notices to homeowners to let them know what the county has determined the value is for tax purposes.

Homeowners usually are happy to learn the value of their property is much higher when they are ready to sell. Conversely, owners don't usually like to learn that the county is also assigning higher values. Unfortunately we can't have it both ways. In most cases when I've reviewed the market to help clients determine actual market value, the data suggests the county is on track.
