Boulder Commuting Traffic Congestion

There are approximately 104,000 jobs in Boulder. More than 50 percent of the people who work in Boulder, don't live in Boulder. Consequently the traffic and commuting congestion continues to slow us down. While many people continue to drive into Boulder for work, there are other options.

The Highway 36 commuter bikeway is one option. Many more people are riding bikes to commute into Boulder from Superior, Louisville, and Lafayette. While people who choose this method are still the exception rather than the rule, there's also RTD. The bus is an excellent option many people are choosing. Boulder encourages using the bus. If you work within the primary downtown area of Boulder, you may be entitled to a free RTD bus pass.
