Thoughts are that the increased awareness at the high school level about Colorado's Free Application Day brought many more applications than otherwise would have been received.
CU Boulder continues to struggle with getting minority students to apply and enroll at CU, and officials believe that making high school students and guidance counselors more aware of the free application day will help. CU received over 7,000 applications on the free day.
